El Aston Villa cerraba durante el día de ayer el fichaje de Brett Holman, el australiano quien desempeña el puesto de mediapunta a sus 28 años deja el AZ Alkmaar y se incorpora a las filas de los villanos para las dos próximas temporadas junto a la opción de otra campaña. Holman es anunciado como uno de los veteranos de la Liga Inglesa y llega de la Eredivisie por menos de 1 millón de euros.

Chris Herd has pinpointed Brett Holman’s versatility as a major plus point for Aston Villa next season. Herd is delighted to welcome fellow countryman Holman to Villa, after his transfer from AZ Alkmaar in the Dutch Eredivisie.
Holman is able to play up top, as a second striker or on either wing. And Herd thinks this will be a major advantage for Villa in the coming campaign. He said: “I’m really forward to working with Brett and playing with him next season.
“I don’t know him personally but I know he’s a great player. He’s proven that with AZ Alkmaar and Australia. He will definitely bring good things to the club. He’s an attacking player and he can play anywhere – up front, wide, even in midfield – he’s very versatile”.(Fuente)
